1
Gather and network with other members and IU affiliated startup companies.
Once you become a member, you will be invited to monthly or semi-monthly pitch sessions and events to learn about innovative, IU affiliated startup companies that are looking for funding. You will be able to attend these sessions in person, watch live via an online videoconference or view a recorded version of the pitch if your schedule doesn’t allow for participation at the time of the meeting.
2
Leverage online resources.
The IU Angel Network uses an online software platform to facilitate IU Angel collaboration, deal flow management, diligence processes and portfolio reporting. Each member is provided login access and can review company information prior to and after company pitch sessions. IU Angel Network members also receive membership to the Angel Capital Association which provides educational resources and networking opportunities.
3
Gain access to monthly investment opportunities
Companies that present to the IU Angel Network are curated by a dedicated team of IU Ventures professionals with assistance from IU students. We screen about 10-15 companies per month, representing a variety of industries, that originate from IU and / or are founded by IU entrepreneurs. Our goal is to identify 10-12 investment opportunities annually to present to the IU Angel Network membership. We welcome member introductions to companies that meet our investment criteria.
4
Enjoy freedom over your investment decisions.
After a company presentation, follow up is facilitated between interested IU Angels and the company. Each member makes his / her own decision on how much to invest, or not invest at all, based on how the opportunity fits into his / her investment plan. Members invest directly with the portfolio company and, if interested, can seek more ways to support the company beyond financial investment (i.e., mentorship, helping make connections and introductions, etc.).
We are accepting new members. Join by December 31, 2019 to be a founding member of the IU Angel Network!
