IU Ventures oversees two current investment programs: the IU Angel Network and the IU Philanthropic Venture Fund (IU PhV). The Innovate Indiana Fund (IIF) was established in 2010 to support innovation at IU and has been fully invested over the past 9 years. The portfolios for all three funds can be seen below.
The Indiana Philanthropic Venture Fund (IU PhV) was established in 2018 as a follow-up to the success of the Innovate Indiana Fund (IIF). IU PhV has $11M to put to work investing in early stage startups with strong connections to Indiana University, including companies with Alumni as founders or members of the C-suite, and companies based on IU technology. The fund is a donated pool of capital, and all equity realizations are returned to the fund for further investment, making the fund evergreen.
The Innovate Indiana Fund is now a fully invested fund!
The Innovate Indiana Fund (IIF) was established in 2010 to invest at the pre-seed and seed stage in high-potential technology companies with a strong connection to Indiana University. The IIF is currently fully vested and deployed $10M in capital to early stage IU affiliated startups.
